I am working my way through it and have found it to be valuable in relearning advanced algebra. Being over 50 years old, I have a hard time remembering my high school algebra. As other reviewers have commented, you must have a solid foundation in basic algebra for this book to be of value. As my children are now going through high school themselves, I definately needed a brush-up on my grasp of algebra to help them. This book is an excellent review test that will prepare one for most advanced algebra topics. Without that foundation, this book will bring confusion, not clarity. konedog

I had a great time working through Algebra II for Dummies. I would highly recommend using it with the Workbook however. Algebra II Workbook For Dummies (For Dummies (Math & Science)) If you're already enrolled in an Algebra II class, or just need a review, you can get away without the workbook I suppose. However if you're using this text to learn Algebra II on your own, get the workbook also, and you'll find the both of them a complete treatment on the subject, providing the restatement and practice problems necessary to get a handle on the topics.
